About Us
Nitek is a pioneer in the field of III-Nitride semiconductors with special emphasis on manufacturing ultraviolet light emitting diodes using next generation novel material substrates, such as, high quality aluminum nitride (AlN) and aluminum gallium nitride (AlGaN). The company was launched in early 2007 with the goal of commercializing III-Nitride technologies. It is a spin-off from Prof. Asif Khan's Photonics and Microelectronics Laboratory at University of South Carolina.
Nitek’s product development team has an extensive background in III-Nitride materials, devices and application systems development.
Nitek’s vision is to become a global supplier of mercury free semiconductor ultraviolet sources for a healthy and safer world and touch millions of people's life.
